Judy Myllymaki and her daughter Rachael are no strangers to success in the world of Professional Barrel Racing... a level of success that has come from many years of effort and accomplishment. Both Judy and Rachael have competed at the National Finals Rodeo, are many-time Montana Circuit Champions and have trained and run several pro-calibre horses. With over 30 years experience in the barrel racing game, Judy has a wonderful quality about her - the ability to teach her students the methods she uses to attain her goal in making a top barrel horse. Judy's positive inspiration and reinforcement, as well as her confidence, make her a successful competitor, coach and instructor. Judy and her husband Gene call Arlee, Montana their homebase. Here, Gene manages the physical side of the operation while Judy trains and competes on her young horses; Judy heads to the southern states for part of each winter where she works on her colt program, so important to Myllymaki Barrel Horses.

Rachael is just one example of the overwhelming success of the Myllymaki Barrel Horse program. As the old saying goes, "The proof is in the pudding!!" Attending her first NFR at age 11 on her great horse Page, Rachael has been competing professionally ever since and in 2004, attended her 7th NFR - this time on her great gelding Easy Does It Doc. Add to that, career earnings of $550.000+ and wins at many rodeos including The Calgary Stampede ($50,000 bonus round) and Cheyenne Frontier Days (average winner). Rachael is the new and proud owner of Give Me A Wink. This mare won or placed at her first 4 rodeos... (Ponoka, AB, Innisfail, AB, Belt, MT and Reno, NV) running 17.18 at Reno. Rachael is currently leading the California Pro Rodeo Circuit.

I would like to thank all the people who stepped up and helped me while I was in Australia. What a great bunch of people. If I started to list them I''d be afraid that I might forget a special person so I'm going to say THANK YOU to all the great barrel racers in Australia. Their attitudes were very competitive, which we must have to stay in this game, and I found their horse power strong. Gals have a great season.
